GemGlobal by Willem van Schaik

!
One of the world's best map databases on your desktop free!
GemGlobal is a very clever program that allows you to capture and store the map data base on your computer when you are connected to the internet. srTrack will display your position on the screen worldwide provided that the receiver has a signal from the transmitter. Once a map data base of your position is stored, the connection to internet is no longer required. www.schaik.com/gps/gemglobal/gemglobal.html
