We have new 2008 designs.
|
Why copy an obsolete product?
We have new designs for 2008 including upgraded components and battery technology.
We felt a genuine concern for the environment and wanted to act to the best of our ability. Now there are around 5000 less cars on the road as a result of this product being developed.

POSITION STATEMENT
PLUG-IN ELECTRIC HYBRID VEHICLES
Adopted by the IEEE-USA
Board of Directors, 15 June 2007
Introduction of new technologies and setting our new standards in design UL1642 IEEE1725.
This is a very good example of how our selection of excellent components came together in around 4 months of intense design and testing. Sourcing and comparing a number of samples from the United States and China resulted in 3 products being developed, now grossing more than $1,200,000 in retail sales and we expect the exact same products to reach $3.5M in sales over the next 12 months.
There are some rules we adhered to. It must be very efficient (less than 9 watts hours per km), lithium battery technology must be safe and the vehicle must have at least a minimum 40kms range. I say vehicle because the drive wheel can be fitted to anything that rolls.
The controller peak current is less than 15.2 amps (worst case) which prolongs the lithium battery life (to around 300~500 cycles) which reacts adversely to high current draws. The battery must have a UL1642 approval combined with a brushless 36 volt planetary internal gear drive, ensuring a very high torque and low current draw and near perfect free wheeling. Using a state of the art on-bike data logger, also allows for a mass of data collection under different riding conditions. We have a number of new designs in progress including in-wheel hub sensorless-brushless controller and lithium battery management system and advanced pack. In addition to new product development we redefined the mothod of testing power output of an electric bike, many in the e-bike industry thinking that a simple 36volts x 5.5amps = 200 watts right wrong! leading importers misunderstood the laws governing the maximum power output of 200 watts seriously comprising their own products.
